How they're built
Built on four principles.
Leichtmut camera bags are made for outdoor photographers – light enough to hike with all day, sealed against the weather, and quick to reach into when the shot is right there. After many trips and prototypes, four design principles guide every decision: keep them ultralight, seal them against weather, make the camera instant to reach, and let you carry them how you choose.
The bags hit ultralight weights through advanced sailcloth materials – Ultra 100 X, Ultra 200 X, and Dyneema Composite Fabric (DCF) – and stay flexible to carry through multiple attachment points. The harder problem was balancing weatherproofing with quick access. The answer was a rolltop design paired with a quick access magnetic lid: the rolltop fully seals your gear from rain and dust; when conditions improve, you unroll once and flip the lid down where strong magnets hold it secure. To shoot, flip the lid up.
