Hey everyone,

I built a new product. I call it the Slinger. And I want to tell you three things about it.

First: the camera bag I now use the most

When I go for a walk, I sling it over my shoulder. When I cycle to my climbing gym, I clip it to my backpack straps. And that one time I went for a run, I wore it like a waist bag.

That’s because it’s meant to be a more everyday kind of camera bag. I’m still very proud of my other models, but they focus on being as lightweight as possible – perfect for long hikes where every gram matters. But how do you go ultralight? By leaving things behind. By stripping features away.

That’s not what’s needed every day, in city life, or by everyone. So the Slinger brings some of those features back. They prove really useful in everyday life – so much that I even carry mine when I leave my camera at home.

Second: the features

The Slinger is more like a typical sling bag, hence the name, and comes with a sling strap pre-installed. You might want to tuck a snack into its side or back pocket, grab your wallet from the front zip pocket, or take a sip of water from a bottle clipped to the tripod/bottle straps at the bottom.

And you might want to put more than just your camera into its padded and softly lined interior – maybe keys, a power bank, or gloves. Your everyday essentials.

Third: it’s available now

The Slinger is available today, fully customizable – fabrics, main and side pocket colors, and size.

I’m excited what you come up with … and maybe it’ll become the camera bag you use the most, too.

Best,
Jacob
