The Drone Bag is my ultralight solution for drone enthusiasts who need a compact, weatherproof, and highly functional bag to carry their drone and accessories into the outdoors.
With quick access thanks to the magnetic lid (when unrolled), it’s designed to keep your drone and controller ready to go at a moment’s notice, so you can spend more time flying and less time fumbling with zippers or buckles.
Two velcro-secured dividers create three separate compartments to keep your gear organized and protected. The standard size fits a DJI Mini 4 Pro or Mini 5 Pro with RC 2 controller (steering sticks attached) and two stacked batteries, and weighs just 125 g. Custom sizes are built around your specific drone and controller, with a third compartment included where dimensions allow.
The Drone Bag attaches easily to your backpack shoulder straps or hip-belt via the supplied carabiners, and additional attachment accessories and features are available if needed.
Custom sizing available – just provide your gear dimensions when configuring your order and I’ll work out the bag from there!
Leichtmut Camera Bags are designed to be as light as possible, allowing you to conserve energy and stay focused on capturing the perfect shot.
What this means:
Made with high-quality ultralight materials like Challenge Sailcloth’s Ecopak or the premium choice of Ultra 100 X, offering an exceptional balance of being extremely light, yet incredibly strong and durable.
Equipped with 4 mm padding, our tested sweet spot that provides just the right amount of protection without adding unnecessary weight.
Don’t waste any weight: We are happy to make you a custom-sized camera bag to perfectly fit your gear.
Leichtmut Camera Bags provide strong weather protection, keeping your gear safe from rain, snow and dust.
What this means:
The Rolltop Closure is designed for three rolls and thus forms a strong barrier against water entry.
The external fabric is fully waterproof. To prevent water from sneaking through stitch holes, all external seams are fully taped. To further minimize any risk, we designed the outer shell with as few seams as possible (consists of two pieces only!).
Note: While the rolltop provides excellent protection against rain, it’s not designed for submersion.
The rolltop is designed to be unrolled once you clip in the camera bag or get ready to shoot. Then, our magnetic quick-flip system offers both instant access and sufficient protection on the move.
How does it work?
Magnets clip both sides of the rolltop together. When you fold the rolltop down, another magnet holds it securely in place.
To access your camera, simply lift and open the folded-down lid in a single movement.
Good to know: The rolltop height is carefully designed not to get in the way, even when the bag sits in front of your chest.
You choose how you carry your Leichtmut Camera Bag, thanks to multiple attachment points and two included carabiners.
Recommended Carrying Options:
Clip between your shoulder straps for instant camera access.
Attach to the side of your hip-belt to take off your backpack without unclipping the bag.
Hang it off the side or front of your backpack when you don’t need immediate access.
Integrated Handle
Use the closed rolltop to carry the bag when it’s not clipped in (or an extension strap between two attachment points)
Configure a custom bag with a custom size and I’ll build it around your drone and controller dimensions for the smallest possible footprint. Your gear will be oriented vertically along its longest axis, and arranged side by side or front to back so the bag is wider than it is deep – keeping the weight close to your body. Depending on your dimensions, I’ll add a third compartment for batteries or small accessories. Simply enter your drone and controller length, width, and depth in the fields above and I’ll take it from there. Want to confirm the final layout first? Email me at jacob@leichtmut.de.
The standard bag is specifically designed for the DJI Mini 4 Pro and Mini 5 Pro with controller and two batteries. It may also fit other models with similar dimensions, like the Mini 3 Pro – measure your gear against the compartment dimensions below to check.

EcoPak EPLX 200 is my standard fabric—eco-friendly, lightweight, and durable. Choose X-Pac RX30 if you’d like more beautiful color options (and don’t mind a little extra weight). For the toughest tear and abrasion resistance at the lowest weight, pick Ultra 100X with its extra-strong UHMWPE fibers.

Hi, I'm Jacob! I build ultralight camera bags by hand in Hamburg, Germany.
